Generally speaking, the production methods of hydrophilic coated aluminum foil mainly include chemical immersion method and mechanical roll coating method. The mechanical roller coating method is divided into single-layer coating film, double-layer coating film and multi-layer coating film. In terms of production methods, chemical immersion is relatively simple, while roll coating is more complicated. In terms of product performance, the roller coating is better than the soaking method, and the product performance of the multi-layer coating is better than that of the single-layer coating. From the perspective of hydrophilic coated aluminium foil production, there are currently two types of single-layer roll coating and double-layer roll coating. The production process of double-layer roll hydrophilic coated aluminum foil is as follows:

Unwinding → pretreatment → first roll coating → first drying → second roll coating → second drying → coiling

It can be seen from the above process flow that there is no difference between pretreatment, unwinding, and coiling in the production process of single-layer and double-layer hydrophilic coated foil for air conditioner, but there are only one and two differences between roll coating and drying. The function of pretreatment is mainly to enhance the bonding force between the coating and the aluminum foil, and the coating plays the role of increasing the hydrophilicity and corrosion resistance of the product. For products with higher performance requirements, if the primary coating fails to meet the due indicators, a secondary coating is required. Generally speaking, a single-coat hydrophilic aluminum foil product has both a hydrophilic function and a corrosion-resistant function in one coating. For double coated hydrophilic aluminium foil products, the first coating plays a role in corrosion resistance, and the second coating plays a hydrophilic role.
