Gold Coated Hydrophilic Aluminium Foil

Gold coated hydrophilic aluminium foil is formed by hydrophilic treatment on the surface of plain aluminium foil. Blue hydrophilic aluminum foil is a common material used for hydrophilic aluminum fins, another one is golden hydrophilic aluminum foil. The hydrophilic layer allows the water droplets condensed from moisture in the hot air to spread easily on the heat exchanger fins and flow down along the material, thus avoiding the “bridging” of water droplets between the fins and affecting the ventilation effect of the heat exchanger. This can increase the heat exchange rate by 5%.

The production process of gold coated hydrophilic aluminium foil: Unrolling → pretreatment → surface roll coating (first roll coating → first drying → second roll coating → second drying) → coiling.

The function of pretreatment is to enhance the adhesion between the coating and aluminum foil.

The function of the coating is to increase the hydrophilicity and corrosion resistance of the product.

For aluminum foil for air conditioner with high performance requirements, if the first coating cannot meet the required standards, a second coating is required. Generally, single coated aluminum foil products have hydrophilic and corrosion resistance functions in one coating. Double coated hydrophilic aluminium foil products have corrosion resistance function in the first coating and hydrophilic function in the second coating.

Gold coated hydrophilic aluminium foil is basically used for air conditioner heat dissipation fins. The surface of hydrophilic aluminum foil has strong hydrophilicity. The quality of hydrophilicity is determined by the angle formed when water adheres to the foil surface. Hydrophilic aluminum foil is generally used on air conditioner condensers. Its main function is to allow water droplets condensed from moisture in the hot air to spread easily on the heat exchanger fins and flow down along the material. This can avoid the “bridging” of water droplets between the fins and affecting the ventilation effect of the heat exchanger. Therefore, it can improve the heat exchange rate of the air conditioner and save electricity under the same cooling capacity conditions.
