Our aluminum foil for deep pleated filters is customized in all dimensions around the characteristics of deep pleating processing, balancing compatibility and precision. The product is based on 8011-H18 aluminum alloy, with 8079 alloy available for customization to meet high toughness requirements. Thickness ranges from 0.02-0.08mm, with 0.035mm and 0.05mm being core mass-production specifications. A customized 0.045mm version for the European semiconductor market is already in stable supply. Width can be precisely cut to 100-1600mm according to customer pleating machine specifications, with slitting burrs strictly controlled to ≤0.01mm. Two surface finishes are available: smooth and textured. The textured version significantly improves adhesion to glass fiber filter media. Key quality control indicators include thickness tolerance precisely controlled to ±0.001mm, pinhole rate ≤1 pin/m², and surface resistivity of the anti-static version stable at 10⁵-10⁷Ω. It also meets UL 900 Class 1 fire resistance standards, comprehensively adapting to the production and application needs of various deep-pleated filters.
The core competitiveness of the aluminum foil for deep-pleated filters stems from the precise control of both alloy composition and production process, building a solid technological barrier.
At the alloy composition level, we optimized the Fe/Si ratio of the 8011 alloy to 0.8-1.2, ensuring structural rigidity in the fully hardened state while enhancing folding resistance, completely solving the problem of strip breakage during deep-pleating processing. For customers in North America operating at low temperatures, the Mn content was further adjusted to 0.15%, strengthening the alloy’s low-temperature structural stability.
In terms of process control, a multi-pass precision rolling process is adopted, with roll gap accuracy controlled within ±0.0005mm to ensure thickness uniformity. The annealing process uses precise temperature control at 380℃±5℃ to completely eliminate rolling internal stress, ensuring no springback after pleating, perfectly adapting to deep pleating formations of 80mm and above.
Regarding surface cleanliness management, we implement oil-free rolling throughout the entire process, coupled with online electrolytic cleaning and Class 100 cleanroom packaging. Pharmaceutical-grade orders pass microbial limit testing, and heavy metal leaching meets FDA 21 CFR 175.300 standards. This is the core technological support for our successful expansion into the European and American pharmaceutical markets.
From actual production and global export experience, the advantages of aluminum foil for air filters permeate the entire process, effectively addressing customer pain points. In terms of processing compatibility, it is compatible with 600m/min high-speed pleating machines, achieving continuous production for 8 hours without tape breakage. It successfully solved the processing challenge of adapting 0.05mm aluminum foil to 80mm deep pleats for a German customer. Regarding operational reliability, the aluminum foil has a melting point exceeding 660℃ and can withstand long-term temperatures up to 120℃. It has shown no corrosion or deformation after 3 years of use in the high-humidity environment of Southeast Asia. For export logistics, it employs a moisture-proof vacuum packaging method, precisely controlling the roll weight between 50-150kg, significantly reducing sea freight losses. The batch consistency rate reaches 99.8%, ensuring the stability and efficiency of the global customer supply chain.
